When I was first starting out it was good to talk to someone who knew about business law generally. There were a lot of things I hadn't thought about in relation to the law and business. At Moore Law I found they wanted to help me avoid problems as much as anything.

What do I need to do before I come to mediation? PDF Print E-mail

This section explains what you should do and what information you should have before coming to mediation.

Firstly it is a good idea to talk to the other party about mediation and try to get them to agree to mediaiton.

If you can't get the other party to come to mediation we can help you to engage them and discuss mediation with them.

Both parties should gather all the information which will assist them to resolve the issues.

For example if you want to resolve children's issues such as where your child goes to school you should bring all the information about the school which you prefer.  that would be fees, curriculum, extra curricular activities and so forth.

If you are needing to reach a property settlement you need to establish exactly what the matrimonial property is and what it's current value is.  To do this we suggest you use the Assets and Liabilities Worksheet on this website.
