A medical power of attorney is an advance medical directive that gives someone the power to make decisions specifically about what medical treatment and medical care you will have, or refuse to have, when you are unable to make or communicate those decisions yourself.  In relation to medical decisions it has more power than an Enduring Power of Guardianship. If there is disagreement between a person having the medical power of attorney and a person having the enduring aguardianship power the medical power of attorney will prevail.
