The Domestic Partners Act 1996 is the South Australian Legislation that covers people who are living in a close personal relationship on a genuine domestic basis.

 

At present de facto property disputes are dealt with in the State Courts while disputes about children of a de facto relationship are dealt with in the Family Courts
